On the Esplanade in Surfers Paradise just a short walk from Cavill Ave - The Shore is in a great location, with the beach just across the road and close by local cafes, restaurants, theme parks, and other tourist attractions.

I think many of us have been there.
You know - that superbly positioned "luxury hotel", just metres from the city centre and all attractions. Which is all good - except in reality it turns out to be a dump situated about 20 km from where you need to be!
I Fell For That One In Sydney
I fell for that one in Sydney last year when I went down for the cricket 'Super Test' - I had 6 flights of stairs to get up to the cramped, dirty room - despite it being advertised as modern, clean and spacious!
And the cricket was terrible just to rub salt into the wound.
And then there is the position. I made that mistake a few months ago in Melbourne - took the web site at their word when they said "5 minute stroll to centre of city."
I Lost My Savings In Taxi Fares!
Sure, I saved $40 per night on the accommodation. But it cost $20 each way in taxi fares to where I needed to get each day - so I soon lost that $40 I'd saved.
That’s why we’ve developed this site - because we’ve believed what the resort and hotel managers wrote ........ and stayed in some seedy places that have cost us good money and pretty much runied our stay.
